Super Sunday Rides

While Vancouver has been under the big storm, we have been having lovely to okay weather. As a consequence we have had two Sundays rides in a row each just under 100 km.

On Nov 5 we took in a number of sights recommended by Jean-Francois including Aber W'rach, the Dunes north of Lampaul-Ploudalmezeau and an amazing road from Portsall to Argenton. It was a cloudless sunny day that road was really busy with cars and pedistrians and a few other cyclists.

Near Pointe de Landunvez

On Nov 12 the Metéo promised "sans precipitation". I'm not sure I exactly agree with them but it was never strong enough to need a rain coat. We rode straight up to Plouescat to see a Galley Grave. As the water level has risen since is was built 4500 years ago, the water has eroded the covering earth and people have removed some of the stones. However at low tide it is still clearly visible.

On Nov 5 we bonked badly and had to take a detour into Ploudalmezeau, a town big enough to have a bakery open. On Nov 12 we provisioned much better.
