The Ghost Map
I’m currently reading The Ghost Map by Steven Johnson. It’s non-fiction (unusual for my casual reading) about cholera in 19th century London, in particular the intense outbreak in Soho in the 1850s.
I first heard about it when the author was a guest on the Boing Boing Boing podcast #006 back before Christmas. It took a while before it became available as an e-book, and the combination of price, buzz, and my lack of reading material reached an optimum.
